Building Project Update                                                                        November 15, 2002

As you have undoubtedly noticed, the building is getting very close to being completed on the outside. I am very impressed with its looks and when it is finished I think we will be very pleased with the result. There is still much work to do on the inside. One of the holdups has been the power supply. We are continuing to work with AEP on this issue.

Through the diligent efforts of the Knittel family, we have been able to acquire a scoreboard for the new facility at no cost to us. Coca-Cola will provide the scoreboard with the only condition being we allow them to have two coke machines on the premises. One of these machines will contain juice and water while the other will contain soft drinks.

Assuming the pledges are received and the Lord continues to motivate us to graciously support the building fund through offerings, we should have sufficient funding to pay the construction costs for the new facility by its completion date sometime early next year. As you may already know, along with the donations to the building fund, it was necessary to secure a loan from LACE in the amount of $433,000. Upon completion of the initial phase and final payment to Riggs Construction, we will at that point be required to pay the full monthly LACE payment of $4,300. In addition, there are other items that will need to be purchased that are not included in these costs. Some of these items are as follows:

Activity room flooring   Stage flooring                           Kitchen flooring

Range                                       Hood                                       Countertops

Sinks                                        Window protectors                   Mats for walls

Volleyball poles                        Bleachers                                 Tables

Landscaping                             Grass seed                               Drainage pipes

2 catch basins

We are currently trying to put costs to each of these items. If you can assist with any of these items, please do not hesitate to contact someone on the Building Committee.

Your continued support throughout this project is appreciated. Please be patient with the members of the building committee. There are many things happening behind the scenes requiring time and dedication on their part. We have been trying to keep you up to date as much as possible without weighing you down with too many details. Such details are the primary responsibility of the building committee. I hope you will all be pleased with the results when completed.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

                                                                                    Respectfully submitted,

                                                                        Tom Heckathorn
